Stimulus Based Conversation (SBC) 2

Dear 3A,

last week we had a lively discussion in class about the picture below.

For this week, we are going to try using the scaffolds we learnt in SBC 1 to answer the following questions.

TASK 1 (Week 7)
Using only the scaffolds:

  •  My idea is...
  • In my opinion...
Answer the two questions below:

1. Which items would you choose to eat at a buffet lunch? Why?

2. Do you think it is good for a family to eat together often? Why?

TASK 2 (Week 8)

Read the thoughts contributed by your friends in the comments section.

Using the scaffolds,

  • If I were you, I would...
  • My suggestion is...
build-on your friends' ideas.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts!

Ms Priya:)

Gentle Reminder

Hello 3A pupils,

Please be reminded that all classification charts are to be handed in by Friday, 21 February. Late submission will not be accepted.

We will do a gallery walk to check out your classmates' charts if we have time to spare in each Science lesson. Rest assure that there's no deadline for that. Presenting your work to the class and answering your friends' questions will not affect your marks. It is just a chance for you to showcase your work to your friends as well as making sure that they understand your rationale behind you choosing a specific way of classifying your items.

Place your completed charts at the side of the classroom, on the table neatly. I have moved around some of the charts that have been placed in class yesterday, 14 February. Do not be alarmed and moved back your chart to the table (where you placed your work originally).

Have fun completing your chart (thank you for those of you who have handed in.) Remember to label your work with your name and class clearly.

Love,
Ms Yeo
